So much to blog about, so little time. I will do rough notes and try to fill in later.
1. Had an absolutely fabulous time at Greenbelt - I left the kids at home with DH and had tons of time to go and do lots of the things I wanted to. Loved it!
2. Jade back at school, reasonably happily. Now 5 mornings per week, 8.50am - 11.10am. Some time in classroom with SEN teaching assistant by her side and me sitting back twiddling my thumbs. Then a 20-min session at the end in TA's office doing selective mutism stuff.
3. After only a week back, Jade spoke to TA! It was on a Wednesday, so DH was with her, not me. She did some reading, and answered some simple questions about the literacy work they were doing. She repeated it on Thursday. She really struggled to do it again on Friday, and I had an agonising 10 minutes sitting outside the door waiting for her to be able to say something, and eventually she did, phew!
4. Shannon has started school. After an uncharacteristically wobbly first morning (she had been quite unwell in the 5 days previously and was still a bit post-viral, which made her cling to me and not want me to leave) she has been absolutely fine. She has skipped off very happily and is very proud of herself. Yesterday (Saturday) she asked me when she was going to school again, in a tone of voice which meant she was disappointed not to be going that day!
