neurons don't have a charge, neither do neutrons which I suspect the question meant!
Ah, and I was racking my brains to think of the slight electrical charge which causes the (sodium?) gates to open which transmits the nerve impulse.... (casts brain back about 10 years ......)!
u-huh, I figured your average 8th grader wouldn't know much about sodium pumps though....
