Who would have thought ...!
... that chickens like chasing butterflies! It's the funniest thing to see. I hope none of you ever, ever buy anything from a battery-farmed chicken - it has got to be one of the cruellest things ever. To cage up such funny, characterful birds is criminal. Make a free-range only pledge now!

Oh I SO want chickens. They'd have to have some sort of pen though we have vicious urban foxes round here.

Chooks are great aren't they? My cousin's wife has just got three, too.
Chasing butterflies?! That is quite surprising.
No point me committing to free-range only as I don't eat eggs or chicken but I heartily endorse the sentiment.

...I love the chickens, but I'm not so keen on the little (and not so little) blobs of chicken-poo all over the garden, patio, paths, outdoor toys, shoes, motorbike.....luckily Poppy eats quite a lot of the solid bits.....
I'm saving up for the Eglu right now....
